Once again the WGA will be holding a picnic to picnic travel bug race.  To join this years race head on over to tb-run.com

register for an account if you don’t already have one.  Once you’ve done this head to http://www.tb-run.com/join.php5?run=WGAPICNIC2015

Here you can join the tb race by simply typing in your trackables id (starts with tb) not the tracking code you use for logging or discovering.  Then use the password schwer-station and click <continue>

After this you will confirm your information and be entered in the race.

The fee for the TB race will again be $3.00 unless you purchase a WGA Cachekinz to use as your racer.  The $3.00 fee will be collected at the picnic.

Silly question … is it possible to join the race even if you can’t make the picnic?  We just can’t break away to get up that far this year.  Does the TB need to start out from the picnic grounds? I might be able to send up the travel bug and the $3.00 with someone who’s coming up there from the SE WI area.

Not all of the board has chimed in yet but the few of us who have discussed this have made a ruling that anyone can participate in the race as long as you get your bug to the picnic.  All of the participating bugs need to be there and go home with someone else.  Typically the board takes them and divies them up.  So, yes, Furry Hermit, send your bug with someone attending the picnic and we will get it in the race.

    Silly question …

Oh, and no, that isn’t a silly question.  It has definitely been asked before and a very valid question.  🙂

Awesome!  Thanks for allowing the permission.  My racer has been passed on to the “courier” and it should be there in time. How do we get the password to finish registering on the tb-run.com website?  Is that sent out to the participants when the race starts?

…and I bet there will be an email sent out to everyone to make sure all is set up correctly so we start out even.

Is anyone else having a problem registering their bug?  It keeps saying that there’s no bug found on geocaching.com with my number.  And yet when I search for it myself it’s there.

    Reference number vs tracking number.
I think tb.Run uses the reference number
