If there was a grand event, it could be a flat fee per person. Say a meal is 15/person. Attendees pay a reduced rate, with the WGA covering the rest. Individual/family rates could be considered.
With a pot luck, the BOD (again) would be doing all the work, with less time for member chat. Without regular surveys on the site, I am still at a loss at how the BODs know what the members want. so they can best represent them in decision making. At a grand event, the Directors would all split up to be at different tables to get to know the members better.
We did try smaller events around the state several years ago, as kind of a member recruitment drive. It wasn’t much different than 1 large event.
This is a request from John Sudar (hack1of2). I copied and pasted from fb as he was having problems posting it on here
I’d like personally to promote the WGA more this year with WGA pathtags. Like get 40 or 50 or 60 and drop them in caches. I had considered just creating/ordering my own WGA pathtag and dropping them here and there, but the more I think about it, why not see if there are others who would like to bulk purchase WGA tags for cost, with the understanding that they are primarily intended for placing in caches. They’re only about $1 each if ordered 100+. It would be cool to get some non-board members on “board” with this. Please consider a bulk pathtag program for those who would be interested in promoting the WGA this way. Another committee! 🙂
and this is also a request from hack1of2
John Sudar Message #1: Whatever clothing is ordered, my own preference is for a small WGA logo, like what is pictured on the *front* of that orange hoodie. I don’t really care for the huge logos on shirts and sweatshirts. On t-shirts, the vinyl logo can sometimes be so large that the shirt isn’t very breathable in summer. But I keep buying them! 🙂
Clothing items I could see be nice would be a nice polo with a small logo. Something I can wear to work and promote the WGA 🙂

Russ, would you be willing to be part of the LCG committee?
Yes, Kelly, I would be willing to serve on committee devoted to the LCG. Thank you for asking.
