November 15 marked 365 days in a row of at least one find for Hack 1 of 2. Congratulations John and Kim. It was fun to be with you on several of those including a few milestones. For your effort you will be rewarded with a trip to Hawaii very soon.
11/16/2011 at 1:42 pm #1954477Mister GT is treating you to a Hawaiian vacation for your efforts??? 😯
Congrats on the 365 days, John and Kim! You already had quite a streak going when I met you at the LCG event in February, and it really is amazing to get out to find a cache on every… single… day! Looking forward to the “Year in Cache Pics” that you two will be putting out.
11/16/2011 at 2:12 pm #1954478Congratulations John and Kim! That’s quite an accomplishment. It’s been fun getting to know you in the past year. I’m looking forward to seeing your pictures too!

11/16/2011 at 6:53 pm #1954480So, when are you going to take a day off?
Congratulations, it takes some serious dedication to keep that streak alive. I remember one day during the streak, where the snow was as deep as a ten-year-old.
Keep havin’ fun :pirate:
11/16/2011 at 8:39 pm #1954481Wow, I bet I have cached a total of 365 days if even that! That is amazing…gonna keep the streak going? 😉
11/17/2011 at 1:08 am #1954482So are you going to keep it going until at least Feb 29, 2012 so you can say you have cached at least a whole leap year too?
We’re glad we were able to spend a couple of those caching days out with you. Congratulations on such a commendable and sometimes logistically challenging achievement!
11/17/2011 at 2:55 am #1954483WOW – That’s a pretty amazing accomplishment. Your logs and photos definately show a passion for the adventure. That passion is also apparent from seeing you in action at Aggravation. 😉
11/17/2011 at 3:40 am #1954484way to go on this. now for the next 365 in a row.
11/17/2011 at 3:59 am #1954485WooHoo! what a run!

11/18/2011 at 3:24 pm #1954488WOW… that’s passion! Getting out there even on the soggy and freezing days. Congrats Hack 1 of 2.
11/18/2011 at 5:00 pm #1954489Wow! Now get some rest…until February 29 anyway.
Congratulations on an awesome task.11/19/2011 at 12:42 am #1954490Thanks! We’re not sure how long the streak will continue. It could end anytime, and that would be OK. Our goal was to reach 365 days to qualify for some challenge caches (in MN and IL), but now it’s become somewhat of a habit! It’s FUN to find caches, so stopping for the sake of taking a break probably won’t happen, but if there’s a day when we just don’t feel like it then we’ll just not go. My guess is we might skip some days when the snow comes, if not before that. But it’s still fun and we like snow. (As some of you know, one of my favorite quotations is “There’s no such thing as bad weather, only inappropriate clothing.”) We have had our lives so enriched by being able to spend quality time together while caching. It’s better than sitting in front of a TV or doing other activities separately. Plus we’ve gotten to know so many great people that are now our friends.
As for the trip to Hawaii, we’re planning to visit “Hawaii” with Mr. G & Sunshine for milestone 2,000 (and maybe, just maybe, their 4,500th) at GC2A8Y4 just outside of Cottage Grove, WI.

Next goal: Find a cache on February 29th so our calendar is blacked out and travel with a group of cachers to complete the Dedicated Cachers Challenge GC266J4. Anyone else qualify for that challenge that wants to come along on 2/29? 😀
