Gathering at the Gathering Grounds
Our first time hosting an event…yay!
The event will take place on 6/26/10 from 1-5PM EASTERN Time at the Gathering Grounds of the Hannahville Indian Community about 1.3 miles south of Harris, MI (14 miles west of Escanaba).
Camping is available for free on site (see event page for more details) and there is a large hotel at the casino 1 mile north or another hotel about 3 miles northeast in Bark River that was built in 2003 if you are not inclined to stay at the casino.
Bump in case you are looking for something to do this weekend.
Looks like a great location.
I am thinking of heading over to this next weekend, camping Saturday night. I want to hit some of the waterfalls in NE WI while over there.
Anyone from western or central WI want to ride along?
General plan: leave Sat morning, hit a few on the way, attend event, cache in area after event, camp for free, then spend Sunday hitting as many NE WI waterfalls as possible. The general route woud start with Pemene, Quiver, Sturgeon, Smalley and Piers Gorge.
