76cs down load

I can down load cords to a 76cs from my windows XP but I can not load cords from windows 98 on a different computer
any Idea as to why

What software are you using? Do other USB devices work on the Win98 system?

I am useing esay gps and I dont know yet if the usb port works I dont have any thing else to plug into it

Even after the second edition of Win98 came out, it was not very USB friendly. I would work on making sure your USB works with other devices before looking for other issues. Once we know if your USB works or not, we can go from there.

Also, early versions of EasyGPS did not support USB. Make sure your WIN98 machine has the newest version of EasyGPS (version 1.3.7).

the usb will not work on windows 98 and so I did get it to work on the com 1 port for
