Sweetlife has recieved the pathtags for the WGA picnic, and they look awesome! The artwork is based on the Old Abe trail that starts at Brunet State Park.

For those who are not aware, Old Abe, is a famous eagle that was the mascot of the Wisconsin infantry during the Civil War, and later the eagle was housed in the Capitol Dome. Old Abe was captured near Brunet State Park, hence the name for the bike trail.

I bet if we ask nice, Sweetlife will post a pic of the pathtag.

Last time I was able to enter the chambers, Old Abe was still holding court over the podium in the Capitol building. I’m sure he’s had better days.

Wish we could make it, might do a quick day trip….for some reason, I thought running a Warrior Dash in Twin Lakes on Sunday would be a great idea. Mostly, I just want Trekkin’ to get a photo of me jumping over the fire, LOL.

So, if we decide not to spend two days driving all over, have fun! Nice looking pathtag, too, Barry.
