I looked on the Garmin assy for the unit, but it looks a little cheesy with zip tieas holding. I want to be able to take on and off.
Thank you
I have one, with the zip ties, and it works well. but does not come off easy.
If your looking for one that can be removed, might have to look at a Motorcycle ram mount:

I agree with sweetlife. I thought it would be too flimsy to last but it’s been on for going on three years. The price is right, too. Lots of trips down the bike trails.

Just got and it works great.
Thanks
We’ve been using the ‘zip tie’ unit without problem, and though we were originally concerned when considering the purchase, we’ve not found removal to be a time issue, and rate it a D1 or 1.5 . 😉
It’s easy to remove/replace the gps with the holder itself.
If you need to remove/replace the holder from the handle bars, just cut the ties and use two new ones when you re-install it. You can pick up a bag of 50 straps for a buck or two at a ‘big box’ store.
Looks like this: http://www.gpscity.com/garmin-handheld-series-bike-mount.html
I found a zipper clear plastic pouch that attached with 2 wide velcro strips to the handle bars at my local bike shop. It looks a little like the product here: http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/584408056/Bicycle_touch_phone_bag_package_iphone.html. (This particular product may not fit the Garmin 550.)
Thank you all very much. I guess I will now order one.
Again Thanks.
