It was a close call for getting this puzzling FTF, as CodeJunkie had to hire a porter to ferry himself and the patriarch to GZ on the Fox River. Check out the log (GC2NBY4) and gas up the sled! He may need you for 1.2K before it thaws! 😉
Congrats, Ed! 😀
02/22/2011 at 6:03 pm #1943493Congrats on #1100, and thanks for the entertaining story! I would have never thought of hiring a ride!
02/22/2011 at 6:05 pm #1943494I had read this log and it never dawned on me that it was a milestone – kinda hard to miss it now in hindsight.
congrats Ed!

02/22/2011 at 7:00 pm #1943495I had also read this log and was quite entertained. You really do go to extreme measures to get the job done. Did not realize it was a milestone – so congrats on that. What a fun way to reach 1100 and with your dad too! Very neat.

02/22/2011 at 8:57 pm #1943496Nice milestone and story to go with it. Wow, the lengths you will go to for a cache! Glad to hear it all worked out.
02/23/2011 at 2:04 pm #1943497Excellent story…thanks for sharing. And congratulations on the milestone 😀

02/23/2011 at 11:06 pm #1943499That will be one memorable milestone!
congrats CJ!
02/25/2011 at 11:12 pm #1943500Another CJ classic! When is the book of your memoirs coming out? And will it be hard cover or paperback?
Congrats Ed!

02/26/2011 at 4:50 am #1943501This was definately a fun milestone. A number of things all aligned to make this one a reality and there were also many laughs had after the completion. In fact Muggle B has given me a potential idea for a series of milestones that I may just have to try.
I thought I had slid this milestone past the greater audience but Jim obviously has a sharp eye. Spending many summer weekends just a few miles north of here this would definately be a fun one to canoe / kayak to with a group in the warmer weather.
02/26/2011 at 5:54 pm #1943502My weekends are pretty open starting March- let’s do it!

02/28/2011 at 1:43 am #1943504Got to hear this story from CJ personally. Spent most of my time shaking my head and laughing. Of course, the more I’ve gotten to know him this kind of adventure is normal fare for him.
Congrats again Ed!
02/28/2011 at 2:56 am #1943505Congrats on the milestone, CJ. During a long walk across the ice I’ve wished for a snowmobile to come by and give me a lift. Never thought to actually go into a bar and solicit one.

03/02/2011 at 4:27 am #1943506Way to rack ’em up. Congrats.
