I’ve had my eye on this cache for a couple years.

The logistics of shuttling the canoe have kept me away, although I did try to find another cache nearby in a really cool area, Devils Tea Table. I want to go back sometime to avenge that one.

There aren’t very many caches down in this area, but the Wisdom Tooth one could be a day’s expedition, anyway. Anyone interested? If we had a few folks, we could probably more easily organize pick up and return to cars. I do believe there are outfitters in the area as well, another thing I’ve considered.

Just trying to see if there’s any interest in this one….

Hmmm…. scratches chin… hmm.. If my truck gets fixed soon I may be up for the challenge on this one. Sounds like a fun adventure.

tempting-of course I can just deflate my kayak. Makes it a little easier

i’d be interested depending on the day it is attempted…

I’ve looked at that one too. I’d love to try it (along with many other river/lake caches) but I lack the equipment. 😥

I would like to do this one also.

I have lots of equipment but it’s a bit out of my caching range at 2.5 hours away. Looks like fun though. I heard that a river cache was going to be placed near me but as yet it has not materialized….granted there are always those pesky woodpeckers in Johnson Creek.

Be prepared to climb….other equipment besides a boat maybe needed.

Yeah, I’ve figured that much out. Like your boat! [;)]

          Hrmm… pontoon boat and a ladder? 😛

Depending on when the attempt is, I would be interested in going.

You must drive really slow. It’s 90 miles for me and you live closer. If it will make you happy I’ll try and place some canoe/kayak hides this summer. I have an idea for a series that will not be accessible by land. Three to four hides making it worth getting your watercraft out Also I’m letting the cat out of the bag, but there will be REAL water hides at the WB Event this year that will only be accessible with a canoe or kayak.

When I punched it into Google maps and let it route me, it was actually 2.25 hours according to Google (to the nearest city)

….I’d love some water caches…place away!

Sweet about WB event…I’m beginning to plan that already. I have a half day on that Friday.

          (….sorry for the off topic)

Travel to this area will probably take folks longer than the mileage suggests. We’re filled with twisty turny county roads and highway 11 is the only really main road. I think it’s only two lanes as well.

We’re kind of used to it, but I understand that for those living closer to the interstate systems, travel is generally faster. For us I’d figure on a three hour drive to get there. Anywhere south to the IL border on this side of the state from LaCrosse….three hour tour!

Looks interesting. I’m interested as long as my schedule will allow. Any idea of when an assault might be planned?
