I see the BQ is about to be run over ……
My bet’s is on the Honeybunnies.

Ah …. getting older, are we?
09/17/2008 at 1:32 pm #1896057Hmmm… How to respond… Uh… It’s not about the numbers? I don’t really fixate too much on other people’s numbers but for one exception: *cough* zooma *cough*. Besides, he’s the one to watch for. We go on a caching vacation, and he widens the lead. I do believe he may be a man on a mission.
Now let’s skip the numbers and all hold hands like the smelly hippies in a 70s Coca-Cola commercial.
09/17/2008 at 2:02 pm #1896058We are all getting older! I finished my MBA in March and my son has kept me busy since. He just started his senior year and I’m trying to take in a lot of his athletic events since when he goes to college I probably won’t be able to. We were just an IU and rather than spend the day caching while he was at a baseball camp, I sat and watched him perform (and grabbed a few caches afterwards). I didn’t have to and he probably wouuld have preferred me not to, but couldn’t help myself — I love to watch him play baseball!
I also echo Team Honneybunnies as I don’t really care what the numbers others have. The mix is such that the measurement is not apples to apples anyway. No doubt that I like to quantify my finds, but the numbers are for me (though the numbers of others may motivate me to get me moving).
09/17/2008 at 3:14 pm #1896059Good for you, Diane, on all your points. As new empty nesters, having seen our younger son zoom out the door a couple weeks after graduation, we know we’ll never get those memories back, and are so glad we skipped lots of different things over the years to create those memories. The day will come again to race around and get caches. For us, it’s fun to watch the numbers, but the ones we really like to see are the ones that are far and few between, those 5/5s and such. Those are the ones we seek out, and grab the others along the way.
Congrats on the MBA. Really, that’s a much bigger accomplishment. I know after agonizing for hours over Sagasu’s evil puzzle, numbers leave me bleary eyed! 😉
