    Old Hwy 16 GC1FV60 This is a really cool cache located along a short section of the now abandoned hwy 16 in Oconomowoc….It’s really cool to walk along what used to be the main road into town…after many many years nature is slowly taking it back. It’s worth a visit should you be in the area….it has a nice tree canopy and crosses a river…

    In our Route 66 adventure, we found several ghost towns. A curious thing to note is that when all of the structures are gone, the town cemetery may still be intact. Real treasures can be found if you can locate the town dump. Be careful though, abandoned does not mean public domain.

    Color me jealous…I so wish I had been able to see those sights….if you have any more pics I’d love to see em.
