"Abandoned structure" attribute

So, did I just miss this one before or is it brand new? And what’s the purpose (well, besides the obvious)…it just seems like a strange one to need.

Though, I did add it to GC1ZVZW just for kicks and giggles.

Personal opinion – Why don’t they quit worrying about the attributes, or just release them all at once. This one / two every few days is annoying. When should I think about updating my attributes? Today? What if they add another better one tomorrow?

And why do they provide 12 spaces on the page listing but only allow you to add 10?

Are they conspiring with the hot dog / bun people?

I believe this has (in part) to do with them using needs maintenance as an attribute.

They actually released a bunch at once. It was documented on yesterdays release but they were all added on an earlier release. This included the one discussed in this thread as well as the hike distance ones, the park and grab ones, the field puzzle ones, etc.

I believe the surge in new attributes was to appease the users of their new Get Satisfaction feedback system. Folks chimed in about ideas for “great new attributes” and Groundspeak answered. “Look we’re listening to our customers!”. Adding an attribute is probably pretty easy on their development implementation scale.
