Hi there! My name is Emily Anderson, but my geocaching trail name is Acre_and_Dale. When I learned that I had been nominated to run as a board member for the WGA, I was touched that a fellow cacher thought of me, and it caused me to reflect on how grateful I am that I have gotten involved and connected more deeply with this amazing community.
My husband (Dale_and_Acre) and I just completed our 366 days of geocaching on December 31st, but so far we have kept the streak going! I have been geocaching since middle school when I took a summer school class in 2012 and made my debut as JoJoTiger123. I went on to be one of 4 members of the Fall Creek High School Geocaching Club, and I have such fond memories of us going out on day trips together. Now as an adult, I primarily cache with my husband, and I am the CO for Wisconsin’s hide in the Cache Across America series.
When I am not out geocaching, I work as a Mechanical Designer at Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and I am also working on earning my Associates Degree in that field of study. For I enjoy a wide variety of hobbies! I love to do crafts, go dancing with my husband, ride horses, play games (RPGs and video games), get involved with our Bible study, and spend time with family and friends (among many other interests).
If I am elected I hope to help bring geocaching to more folks in our beautiful state through interesting caches and welcoming community engagement opportunities! I know the power geocaching has to bring people together, and I love being a part of making that happen.
I also have an Instagram account dedicated to keeping track of our geocaching adventures, so if you’d like to follow along with us come check us out @acre_and_dale!
