Is there some way to get my activated coins I do not plan on putting in the wild out of my inventory. ❓ I just don’t want to accidently click on the wrong coin or tb when making a drop if this makes sense. 😳 Thanks
02/25/2007 at 6:18 am #1770750I heard that you can create a cache page but not submit it for approval and then put your coins there. I have not tried this and I really don’t know if it will work. It is just something that I read. 😕
02/25/2007 at 12:09 pm #1770751You can pick an active or archived cache, and dump coins there as well.
02/25/2007 at 2:29 pm #1770752We have ours dropped in a ‘pending’ cache. We didnt make the cache page for that reason, but we were working on a mystery cache right after an event and just dropped our own coins in it for the time being.
It would be neat if there was some other option on CG.com to show that. But, I do know that many people keep a ‘private’ cache to drop coins in.

If it ever does happen, and it does, trust me. They are very easy to get back out of the cache, being you are the coin owner. Just go to the coin page and select “retrieved from ??? cache” and take it back.
02/27/2007 at 4:42 am #1770754Ok Thanks all. It isn’t like I have a hundred coins in my inventory but I do have 2-3 coins I have that just keep popping up in inventory. I will look for a cache that is archived to dump them in. Am in between jobs at the moment and I am sure when I get new cash coming in I will be buying and activating more coins and can envision a problem with the inventory list as I acquire more coins I like but you have all been great in giving me the solution. Thanks again.
Peace and safe caching 😀

Oooh… The idea is to use one of your own archived caches. If you start logging coins into someone else’s archived cache you’ll quickly get an email wondering what’s up. I use one of my archived caches as a holding place, you can also create a new cache but uncheck the box saying it is ready to be approved. Then it will be in your list of caches, but won’t go to the reviewers.

Ok gotcha. Thanks for the clarification.
02/27/2007 at 6:22 pm #1770757If you’re the coin owner you can go to the coin’s page on gc.com and mark it as missing, which will take it out of your inventory. Its easy to grab it back if you do decide later to drop it somewhere.
03/02/2007 at 8:01 pm #1770758If you need you can drop them in our Davids Cache for now. It’s archived. I’ll email you a GC. Brian / The Tapps
