Here’s what I would like to do–
Take a list of street addresses.
Turn them into waypoints
Manage them via GSAK so I can tinker with them and upload them to our GPSr.
I can’t figure out a reasonably elegant way to do this. Any ideas?
I don’t know if this will help you or not. http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/convert_input?form=address
By the way, this worked perfectly. Thanks a bunch!!!
In case you’re curious, this was to load a list of garage sales in for Mrs. Gotta Run into the GPSr. The only thing I had to be careful of was to use a different waypoint symbol when uploading to the unit (from GSAK) so that they don’t get confused with regular caches!
Then again…hmmm…they have coordinates…they show in the GPSr (as 1/1 “unknowns”)–maybe I should log them as temps 😈 !
A Temp Event? 🙄
I use GSAK for a few different waypoint databases, not just caching. They made it really easy to do, just check out the database drop down menu & create a new database. That way you can have the one you use for caching, and a completely different one so you can keep things separated nicely.
