This topic may have been posted in the past but if so I missed it. I am curious to the proper procedure for adopting a cache.
There is a cache here that has not been maintained by the owner in over two years. It is a great hide but the container itself leaks and the log book has been full for over a year.
From what I understand, the owners have either moved out of state or reside about an hour an a half away from the cache site.
I sent the owners several emails offering to adopt or check up on it as I live and work a few short miles away. There has been no response though which leaves me wondering if they are still even involved with caching.
Not sure what the next step is in a situation like this.
Any thoughts or input?
