Okay, these are two unrelated cache issues, but a similar question.
1) I’m heading out in a little while to check on a nearby Lonely Cache. It has a maintenance tag, the last couple finders said there isn’t really anything there other than a wet log in a baggie. The cache owner last found a cache in 2005, though they logged on to gc in early December.
I plan to put a new container in place; this is a revisit for us. For those folks like Sagasu who have adopted caches for the Lonely Cache game, what was the procedure?
2) On the cache rescue page, this cache, GC920B ,has long intrigued me. I’d like to check it out once paddling weather returns, if it ever does! 🙄 First of all, is it even in a place that’s “legal?” I thought those waters were part of the USFWS area for the Upper Mississippi. If it *is* legal, could we somehow put a new one out in that spot and adopt it, even though it’s been archived? We hope to put a few along the canoe trail in Perrot this spring, and this could be an extension of that.
Thanks.
