I’ve decided to make the final a general cache not just to pacify the whinner in question but because as people have said it should be all or none. Thank you to those who gave me advice.

The local government is likely sick and tired of hearing from this person already….the choice to change it as a regular cache is yours…but letting folks like this get there way is what is wrong with this country.
Couldn’t have said it better. The public access means that anyone that wants to search for the cache can visit the land. If I bring a picnic to the park to I have to share with anyone that stops by and wants a bite?
But the real question is, KFH, if you brought a picnic lunch to the park, and someone came by and asked for a bite, would you share? 😀
All opinions, comments, and useless drivel I post are mine alone and do not reflect the opinions of the WGA BOD.
06/10/2011 at 4:36 pm #1948766Great discussion. I think everyone will be happy now and no blood was shed. I will admit it was a clever ploy to get publicity for you caches LOL.
06/10/2011 at 5:57 pm #1948767I agree with Mister G clever ploy but a learning experience. Now that the problem has been solved I will let the cat out of the bag. There is a way that non PM’s can log PM caches. Its kind of sneeky, we do it all the time. It a back door operation and can be done. Shhh its a secret.

The question is, Who wants to eat Hippie food?? 😯 Have ya seen some of the stuff he call food???? 😯 😉
06/10/2011 at 6:58 pm #1948769I think groundspeak would be thrilled to see that the Final was premium only. I think they would want EVERY series final to be premium member only – it’s an incentive for people to upgrade their account and pay the piper. More premium members = more revenue.
And as far as the “public access” complaint – it is total nonsense. In fact the entire log is nonsense. I would certainly leave the final a premium only if that’s how it was designed in the first place.
You don’t have anything to defend here. It’s plain to see the complaint doesn’t hold water. I would ignore the whole thing.

Really now. Some people.
06/10/2011 at 8:29 pm #1948771Well Brian, I DO want a pony, you know!
I never got a Chatty Cathy doll, either.
But I agree that it’s up to the cache owner to list the caches in whatever way they wish. There are caches I can’t get. There used to be one you had to do advanced SCUBA diving to the bottom of Lake Michigan and look for something on a shipwreck. That would be AWESOME, but…not even basic SCUBA here. For someone with the skills, it’s a great thing. No one will ever be able to get them all, anyway. Just move on to the next.
