    If you’re heading down to the Highland Park, Illinois area anytime soon, be sure to check out Genius Loci’s Aesop’s Villa by the Sea series. It’s a set of four caches in the same park which all lead to a fifth, final cache.

    The caches are excellent in their range of difficulty (be sure to read my log for Neptune for an example of the high end…) and the descriptions are masterfully written.

    These are definitely worth the trip.

    (And while you’re down there, be sure to find The DEATHTRAP!)

    I started and finished this series this afternoon. Fantastic.

    I’ll quote my log for the final cache of the five:
    ===============================================

    What makes a great cache?
    1. An interesting location
    2. A great hide
    3. An interesting theme/write-up
    4. I can find it.

    Any one of these is sufficient. Combine several of these characteristics in one cache and you are a master cache-eteer. Create five caches, all linked to each other that have all these characteristics and you are now a grand master cache-meister.

    I am reduced to using my Tupperware for food storage as any cache I do from now on can not achieve the success of this series. Well done.
