When we were traveling around the state to find the counties and DeLorme pages, we tried as much as possible to explore each area, rather than just getting a couple per page. Some areas got short shrift, picking up just what we needed in parts of the state we hadn’t visited much.
Well, it’s been a couple years now, and we’ve enjoyed returning to some of these areas and spending more time there. We’ve made a couple trips to the Northern Kettle Moraine and the area east of Lake Winnebago now, which was one such area. Yesterday we enjoyed some great caching down in Green County and thereabouts. We’re looking forward to spending time at Bong during the Campout and whatever else we get in the area that weekend.
What areas of the state have you returned to for a better look? What were some of the places and caches you recommend?
If you have not been to Petrifying Springs Park in Kenosha, you should consider a trip there. It’s roughly 25 minutes from bong and filled with some of the best scenery in the area, as well as some great local caches.
