My next cache find will be number 50. It’s not that big of a milestone, but I’ve had a lot of fun. Maybe I can hit 100 by my “first year of geocaching” anniversary which is in October. Anyway if anyone can recommend a really good challenging cache for my 50th I’d appreciate it.

The Minnesota Association does recognize 50 as a “significant” event and it should be. Not everyone will go geocaching crazy and just stick to one here and there when they are in a particular area. So great job on 50!
I know that everyone will have a recommendation and there are lots of good ones – which area are you going to go to would be the question.
      Goodluck.

Shamelessly plugging our own cache, for your 50th or anytime in the future, check out Lone Rock Cache just north of Wi. Dells.

Thanks. Maybe that is because in Minnesota Geocaching is not allowed in State Parks So maybe there are less available to find. I hope that never happens in Wisconsin.
Anyway I usually hunt in Waukesha Co, but was thinking of heading west of Madison to Governor Dodge State Park. I notice there are several within that park with 3 stars or higher. An overnight camp may be in order to find them all.

        RangerBoy,

The Artful Dodger in Governor Dodge State Park is a hoot! It was our first cache and took us a good 8 hours to complete. So just a healthy suggestion, you may want to plan for some time on that one if you choose to seek it. I’d suggest it, the park is very beautiful and most importantly the cache is a very good challenge

Thanks for the suggestions. I ended up going to “Salute to Stute” for number 50. I’m happy with the choice. There was a 160 year old old farm to learn about, decent size hiking trail, and a great view up a big hill. This is a great sport, I look forward to the next 50.

            Kudos!
This is a significant achievement and your geocaching friends are proud of you and share your cheer. Our wish for you is that every cache would be just as much of a joy as your 50th, your 100th, etc.
Congratulations, until we meet on the trail,
