Need a little help here.
Does anyone know a geocacher who’s caching name starts with the digit 9?
We are trying to complete the alphanumeric challenge by finding a cache that has an owner’s name starting with 0-9 and A-Z, and we need a 9.
The closer to Appleton, WI the better, but we are just trying to figure out how far we need to travel to get it.
Thanks,
RNS
02/24/2018 at 11:55 am #2058096You may have tried this and are looking for a way to filter it, but this is what I did. Go to your account and click on the Find Another Player on the right hand side of the page. It gives you a search bar. Type in 9. It will come up Pick A User, and click on that arrow to see a list. It would be time consuming to click on each profile and view the caches to determine their locations. Maybe someone else has a faster approach. … I don’t suppose you used me for the a, huh? 🙂

We got a “9” when we went to Texas. 9Key has hidden hundreds of caches and is vey active, but he’s based in Texas. ROAD TRIP!

02/24/2018 at 9:41 pm #2058106It’s been a few years since we qualified for one like that, but 9 key had a cache in the southern Twin Cities suburbs. Since that’s my hometown, it was no big deal to take a little different route home for that. There should be a public bookmark in our profile for that challenge. Hope that helps..unless you want a reason to go to Texas!

Thanks all for the input. It is appreciated.

07/27/2018 at 9:50 am #2060271What is this alphanumeric challenge that you guys speak of and how do I know what I still need to qualify?
07/30/2018 at 7:21 pm #2060304Todd,
Complete the alphanumeric challenge by finding a cache that has an owner’s name starting with 0-9 and A-Z.
We’ve done it by cache name, and cache owner name. Check our caching profile.
If you use “mygeocachingprofile.com” to generate your stats, it will show up, as long as check the alphanumeric boxes.
