While researching the Internet for ammo cans I came across this government liquidation site. Now a lot like this would be too much for an individual to purchase but an organized group could buy in bulk and its members could get the cans at low cost. How about it WGA? Are we savvy enough to pull it off?

I for one would be glad to buy many of them.

Jay, they don’t have any ammo cans small enough to fit into a fake walnut!

    LOL 😆

Please tell me he does not actually have a cache that is a walnut.

I don’t know if he does, but I know it’s possible 😉 You can buy them on ebay:

Without naming specific caches, some recently hidden caches (not hidden by me!) in SE Wisconsin have included all sorts of fake objects, including nuts. No one ever said it had to be easy! Fortunately, we have lots of ammo boxes, film cans, key holders, and just about every other type of container, so if you don’t like hunting these “creative” containers, you can just hunt the “regular” ones.

Pine cones, accorns, blenders… whatever! 😈

One of my personal favorites is the pile of fake poo. I haven’t found a cache with it but I’ve heard about them 😉

That’ll take some dedicated geocachers to find that one 😈

A friend of mine cstorm10 found one like that. He said he looked at it for a long time before he poked it with a stick. Wish I’d of been there.

    Back to the subject… 😆

This is a similar lot that BigMike and I purchased earlier this year and sold from at the camp-out. The guy we got them from had purchased many more pallets from surplus.

If anyone is still looking to purchase cans, we do have a few left for pickup in the Madison area. Sorry though, our pre painted and stenciled cans are gone and we do not plan on painting any more.

We do have a few cans that were painted over orange and khaki by the military or are a bit dented or rusty. These are available in our “scratch and dent” sale.

If you are interested…e-mail me at kdkrause at uw alumni dot com.

I can fully endorse the WoodenNickle/ BigMike ammo cans. they are the nice big ones, and the ones that I got were in great shape. Nearly all the regular caches I have put out since the campout are their cans, and I love em, and the price is very hard to beat. I ran out a month ago, and onesearching2find went to Madison and got another 20 for me so I am set for awhile.

Any chance you can ship them to Kenosha?

I would be interested in some cans! I can only find the big ones and would like the smaller ammo cans if I could find them.

Speaking of doodoo caches, check out mine… GCV818
