Snyder Bear, who wins a ready made letterbox cache donated by Gotta Run. Congrats on a great month! The prize for July is a WGA Cow Coin, donated by me.
The new list is ready and is available at the Lonely Cache Page. The last found date ended up being 3/21/09. The map is NOT ready yet and probably won’t be for a couple days. I had viruses on both computers and am just getting back up to speed and trying to keep up with reviews, and I haven’t set up my FTP to load the map.
Highlights on the July August List….
2 First to find opportunities, GC1G5H9 and GC1NVPQ. For the first one, Ken tells me that you get extra style points if you get there without using a boat, kayak, or canoe.
3 caches with more than 2 years without a find, GCZ13R, GCXQ29, and GCG5VB.
and 7 caches placed in 2001, including one that I was the last finder on and I highly recommend for players in the SE corner of the state, GCD80.
There is also a TON of lonelies in Dunn and Douglas counties, so you guys up in the northwest corner can cleanup.
Have fun!
07/08/2009 at 1:19 pm #1910507Thanks Deejay.
I’m really surprised to see the late cutoff of this list! (Mid-March?). That’s a jump of about 5 months from the last list I think. Apparently players have been doing a good job of cleaning up lonely caches!

I’m not clear on that point. That cache is not on the bookmark list that I see. Also is there any significance to caches being placed in 2001 or is that just a note of interest?
On the Left Side of the Road...07/08/2009 at 1:22 pm #1910508Congratulations, Bill!
And to think….we knew you “when!” LOL Looking forward to seeing your prize out in the field.
07/08/2009 at 1:41 pm #1910509Congrats on the win! We will be looking for a few of those that you found. Might even get “free lunch” some day! π
But we are NOT going to South Carolina for a Virtual Lonely Cache! π―

prediction? well maybe!
congratulations on the JUNE win SnyderBear
Was that the highest monthly total thus far?Disclaimer : Always answering to a higher power.
07/08/2009 at 2:52 pm #1910511Congrats on blowing us all out of the water, Snyder Bear! I was looking at some kayak/canoe caches and a few others to close the gap and it looked like I could get within one point till you beat me to the same waters and kept on going with just a day or two left in the month. Still enjoyed those caches and following your “footsteps” that were very invisible a day or two later when labrat and I got there. Nicely done! Fun isn’t it?
07/08/2009 at 2:57 pm #1910512As for July, I think we’ll see a definite front-runner (or maybe two) very soon. Won’t be a surprise to me.

Any secret message from Sagasu in his post?
I see that there are few new Lonelies on the list in Snyder Bear’s neck of the woods, and since he’s been bitten by the bug, I’m sure we’ll see his name come up in July!
Congrats on the huge June win, Snyder Bear!

I see you have correctly deciphered the message. No secrets here. Spending most of my time chasing retro videogames lately, even some of my sleep time. But I do have a long watchlist with a lot of lonely caches on it. Not sure if it reaches into bear territory though…
Congrats again, Snyder Bear. That was indeed a huge month!
07/08/2009 at 7:30 pm #1910515A WHOLE bunch of Lonelies up this way, but I can’t find my own……..can I? π

No, but you can take us right to them, and then we can submit our finds for the points. π

Not trying to steal the thread but Sagasu……Was that YOU the spent $17,500 for the very rare game cartridge π― π― π― ???
Story07/09/2009 at 2:12 am #1910520Cripes, another round with just a few in my neck of the woods that I haven’t found but a couple dozen of my own. Cripes it’s hard to compete locally when 90% of the lonelys within 15 miles are mine! What’s a puzzle placer to do but sit back and watch again…
And yes, I think Snyder Bear now hold the record for the highest monthly score. That in and of itself deserves a prize I think…
