I would like to put spaces between paragraphs in my cache pages. Can someone tell me how?
For example:
I would like this:
fJWHF KUHF AKJHF;KHDF ;AKJHF;AKJHF A;DJH A;KAJH KAJHDKJS
FJGHJRHG KAEJRHGK AEHGKAHGKJDFH RKUHGAEKURHG K;AEUR;AKURHG A;KUHGA ;KRUGHA ;K
DHFG A KLAUGHKSDUFGHZKDJVH .ZKDFJHVK.ZDFJNot this:
fJWHF KUHF AKJHF;KHDF ;AKJHF;AKJHF A;DJH A;KAJH KAJHDKJS
FJGHJRHG KAEJRHGK AEHGKAHG
KJDFH RKUHGAEKURHG K;AEUR;AKURHG A;KUHGA ;KRUGHA ;K
DHFG A KLAUGHKSDUFGHZKDJVH .ZKDFJHVK.ZDFJNo, it’s not code for the next NEMESIS! LOL 😆
09/04/2006 at 10:13 pm #1765130What “Tie” aka WGA2 had mentioned to me… eons ago, is if you want a cache page to show up a specific way, you can tell them how you want it to look.
If it is more complex, they may just ask you to send them a Word file showing them just how you want it to look, i.e., Large block letters with every other line a different color, a picture here or a hand drawn, scanned puzzle, etc.
I got that info many moons ago and it might have changed, but let them know in the “note for the approver” (or whatever that section is called LOL) section at the bottom of the cache page that you want a paragraph in somewhere.
OR it might be that you have “The descriptions below are in HTML” box checked, on the form. BUT like I mentioned in that other post about adding the WGA logo….that shifts everything into a paragraph form that maybe the approvers can fix for you!!! I Undid the WGA logo on my existing cache pages, `cause it shifted everything over.
So…..what’s the mystery on THAT one??? Is it as easy as unclicking something somewhere??
09/05/2006 at 12:08 am #1765131hm. html-enable the writeup, and stick in an extra
. that should do the trick, no?
09/05/2006 at 12:45 pm #1765132You need to check the box marked to “Enable HTML” … then you can use various html codes … such as, but not limited to:
End a Line (ie. Break Line) …
Skip a line (ie. Paragraph Break) …
Bold Text …
Start = end =Italics Text …
Start = end =There’s other/fancier stuff … like inserting pictures, right/left/center justifying text, etc.[/code]

09/05/2006 at 4:16 pm #1765136PS. Dave, on the “Quick and dirty guide” Did you notice the links at the bottom send you to The Associated Press?
I noticed this when you sent that to me once before and I forgot to tell you. I wonder how that happened??? 😆
09/05/2006 at 4:25 pm #1765137All this stuff is true, but if you don’t want to become an HTML expert, there is a much easier way (if you use Microsoft Word).
1. Create the text for your page in Word, formatting it however you like. (One exception is spacing. HTML will insert space between paragraphs automatically, so don’t put in extra lines or you will have 3 lines between paragraphs.)
2. Do a Save As and save as an HTML file.
3. On the View menu, select HTML Source.
4. Skip past all the Microsoft garbage (in green on my computer) at the beginning, scrolling until you find the token .
5. Copy all text from down to the bottom.
6. Paste the copied text into GC.com web page.This works for both the short and long descriptions. You may still want to tweak it by inserting
and the like. Also, remember that you have to have any photos/picture out on the web (rather than on your private hard drive) to use them on your page.09/05/2006 at 4:50 pm #1765138@Team Deejay wrote:

09/07/2006 at 5:18 pm #1765139I use Netscape 7.0
Go to the window tab and open a Composer window.
Then make your cache page.
At the bottom you will see a normal tab, a source tab, and a preview tab.After I get things the way I want it I click the source tab then copy and paste the code into the cache page.
I think its easy
