I started off geocaching and then really got into EarthCaches. That lead me into an interest in the earth. Now I spend about as much time in the woods geocaching as I do looking for, and collecting rocks. I have quite the collection already, just in the last year. I have no idea what most of them are, but I am trying to learn. Am hoping to take some geology classes once I retire. Now I wish that I would have paid attention in geology class back in the college days a lifetime ago.

I now love to visit cemeteries as a result of marc’s cemetery puzzle caches.

I like to go to cemeteries looking for “petrified trees” along with a friend who actually tries to find out about the families.

Geocaching led us into letterboxing. Also I’ve done more boating in the last year than in the past 40!

It got us back into camping which we hadn’t done for over 20 years.

      Yep.

I thought I recognized the location GCVJ1Q ….I’ve been to maybe 150 cemeteries and I think that one was my favorite…it’s been three years since I was there and the image was exactly what I remembered.

Not sure about new hobbies, but for me losing one occurred…I used to be quite an online gamer…now I simply don’t have the time what with all the geocaching…

Thanks to Marc’s cemetery series. I love visiting old country cemeteries. We take many slow walks and always bring along a camera.
      It’s called “Taphophilia.”

Bec, I am going to use those as my background on my computer – NICE!
It got me back into doing more with new groups of friends, a happy result!
