So, I’ve gotten pretty close to automating most of the stats stuff. I even have a script that now “watches” for logs in WI, and puts new users on a TODO list to get entered for future stats grabbing. We currently are watching 340 WI cachers, with about 77 cachers on the TODO list (hopefully I’ll get them added in within the next few days).
Out of the 340 watched WI cachers, there’s 237 cachers that have a cache_rate of .06 or better.

Now that that’s said, what other kinds of WI stats would you like to see? I was thinking of trying to index popular caches to gather stats on:

    – Caches with most finds in WI
    – Caches with most no-finds in WI
    – Caches that have had the most Travel Bugs visit them.

    Any suggestions?

First off, the stats are fantastic and way beyond what anyone could have hoped for.
Having said that and if you are asking for ideas, whether they are possible or not:
1- stat on number of states where the cacher has found a cache. I realize this will be tough since locationless caches come out of a particular state and you may not have cached in that state. Perhaps even a method of a manual entry by each cacher.
2- How about where to reach you on your stats page (last I looked it was not there).
3- Listing of oldest caches in Wisconsin or the 10 oldest or whatever.
4- Ranking of Wisconsin cachers total numbers in adjoining states?
    Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois and Michigan.

Just some ideas since you asked – you have developed a great page already.

Goodness, it is excellent the way it is…I was amazed with the series section…really a great tool!

No ideas, just love it though…stats can be fun…it is certainly not what caching is all about, but it sure is fun to look at from time to time!

Thanks for a you do already!!!

I agree that the stats page is terrific. We want to thank you for the job you’ve done on it. I’d like to see stats on the caches with the most no finds, it would give you an idea of the more difficult ones, or the most plundered ones. I’m also wondering if Capture the Flag could be tracked as a series, unless because some are in Illinois its not feasable. My 2¢

How about most posts in the WGA forums? (Just kidding)

I see you can look at caches owned. I’d like to be able to click on my name to see a list of my caches (active and archived) with the number of finders for each, then be able to click on that cache and see who the finders actually are.

It would be a handy way of checking who has found my caches without having to scroll through a zillion log entries.

You could also expand it to give you a list showing something like:

    You own 20 Caches
John Q Cacher has found 20 for 100%
Cache Addict has found 18 for 90%

What’s there right now is fantastic, however! Thanks!

How about 8 caches hidden in one hour!
