My family and I will be traveling to Alaska on August 7th. If any of you have or are aware of any TravelBugs which you would like to move up there, let me know. Perhaps we could meet up (or leave in a cache halfway between our locations). I live in Grantsburg (about 2 1/2 hours northwest of Eau Claire).
Would you take me along if I attatch myself to a TB? That is on my life list of places I want to go. Sent a TB there and it made it back safely.
Mrs. TEMy red jeep wants to get to Alaska….but it may have been muggled already…in GCFDDF with 7 users watching…newbie visited right after drop…so I don’t know if someone can get it your way if it is still there. Have a safe trip.
Thanks to Hayward Cheesehead who offered to send a red jeep TB and two of his own travelbugs up to Alaska. I drove up to Hayward and got to meet him in person a few weeks ago.
I just finished releasing the 3rd one today. I dropped a fishing lure TB off at the base of a mountain overlooking Resurrection Bay in Seward after a whale watch. A second travel bug was dropped off at a tourism center in downtown Seward. The Red Jeep TB was dropped off just off the grounds of the Alaska State Fair in Palmer (about a week before their state fair starts). I’m hoping to drop off the geocoin I got from the Chippewa Valley event up near Denali in a few days.
This has been a great trip so far! 😀
