I know this isn’t the case, but my first thought when I read the headline was oh no, another cache was blown up.
Suspicious Device Detonated In Pewaukee
A device resembling a hand grenade was found Thursday afternoon near the intersection of Meadowbrook Road and Silvernail Road in Pewaukee.
The Milwaukee Police Department’s hazardous device unit was called to the scene, along with a Hazmat crews.
After investigating, the hazardous device unit detonated the suspicious device.
The Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department said it does not appear that the device was a military grenade, but an investigation is ongoing to determine what it is.
Roads in the area were expected to be open shortly after 3 p.m.
Correction: p&R right across the highway but nothing really close to that intersection.
It go’d boom

Word has it it was a hand grenade alright.
Off the top of my head, the closest geocache would be a bus stop nano .. not easily confused for that.
