Professor was smart and wore pants all day.
But, he ended up coming in contact with P.I. on his left hand (he’s a lefty). Thus he has a small rash there.
Earth Angel wears shorts all day and ended up getting poison ivy on her left leg between knee and ankle.
Princess and Duelist both wore shorts all day and stayed poison ivy free.

How about the rest of you? Care to share?

There is a lot of PI in the Long Lake area this year. I have a few blisters on my left leg. this is most likely from exposure in London Ontario. I can feel your pain (every year). ~tb

Small rash on right arm, quarter sized, still oozing.
Larger rash on right leg, dollar bill sized, gone in a day (yay, Paint Thinner!)

I’ve certainly gotten used to the whole PI thing as it really doesn’t bother me anymore. Its more like a really irritating mosquitoe bite.

I would like to hear about any other Poison Ivy contacts though, as this was a concern this year.

So far none for me or my daughter. However, since we continued our journey by train the next day, we left behind our PI clothes and my shoes. So, our exposure will not be complete until I get back home and wash those.

I was hoppin’ and bush wackin’ in shorts all day. Didn’t get anything but a lot of scratches all over me. Luck??? or Immune??? I’ll take immune. Or was it the Bunny ears??!!??!!

Well, it seems there’s just no escaping it for me… Quarter sized splotch on right calf and just a couple of short lines a little farther up… Cause? Picking up caches Sunday A.M…. I was silly and wore shorts.. Guess I had it coming..

No problem dealing with it this time.. These little patches are no problem.. I know it’s high-hopes but, it will be long pants for me whenever in the woods unless I’m strictly staying on established trails…

Well, I stand corrected…today, while I was preparing the kids for the kid’s triathlon in Waupaca, I noticed each kid (Princess and Duelist) each had a small patch on their lower leg. They didn’t even tell me that they had “itchy” on their legs.
Mine (earth angel) is spreading like wildflower on my left lower leg. So I keep putting anti-itch (for poison ivy) on it to sooth it.
Thanks to all of you for sharing. Tami

PS Bushwhacking Queen said she also got a small rash on her leg as well from P.I. Looks like she was wrong and it was only a bug bite!

Everyone in our group had shorts and socks. A, B and D managed to stay PI free, but C has a couple of small patches on the ankle and shin of one leg. On the way home we stopped at Walgreens and picked up some PI cleansing soap. Not sure if it did any good 6 hours after the fact, but at one point we had wandered into the middle of a PI field, so I’m guessing it did. I think it could have been much worse considering how much we saw.

We managed to stay PI Free … yet the two other families that joined us wore shorts and some did not even have socks on … not sure how we pulled off staying free of it. We walked through fields of it during the event that could not really be avoided, just tried to do our best … it was hard to avoid while doing the multi.

Nope – no PI on me! I thought I did but nope. I had one bump near a scratch and it was itchy but I think it was a bug bite.
