I was asked by a friend to help with a cache. No problem. Loaded the GPX into my handheld and off we went. We found it in short time, but some things just didn’t seem right. (See my log for GC2C2GB) It isn’t one that I can locate on any of the other cache sites that I belong to. TerraCache comes to mind, i am not a member and I don’t know anyone that belongs. Anyone have any thoughts? Is it possible that 2 different caches from 2 different sites could be located almost spot on for coordinates?
Did you check Opencaching.com?
Ive come across Letterboxes and Caches right next to each other, but not caches that are from different sites yet.
I checked both opencaching sites and navicache. I thought of both those. It just seemed really strange. The logs were all all newer than the logs on the website.
Wow I was the last finder almost a year ago. Your description does not sound like the same one i found. I remember a small peanut butter jar, I even dropped a tb that wanted to stay in the Rockford area . I see the cache owner has not logged in in quite a while so you cant e-mail them. Maybe you found a final to a puzzle. Who knows, don’t worry, be happy take the smile an move on.
I checked TerraCaching and it isn’t listed there, either. A private cache maybe? I’ve heard of resorts that hide caches and list geocaching as an activity that guests can do, but don’t actually publish the caches anywhere.
