we were contacted today by Jeffrey Stevens, (Recreation Director , City of Marinette, and Friends Group member)
They are looking for someone to hold a event at Gov. Thompson State Park or give them more information on geocaching They are planning a number of events this fall to promote the park. He volunteered to find out more about geocaching and contacted us beacouse we have a cache there and got our name from the ranger that we sumitted our approval form with, we do not have the time to devote to this project, and wondered if anyone else would?
They are also looking at a candle light walk and a number of other events to share the vision for the park and get more exposure to GTSP.

I will let the Picnic Committee know about this. They are in the process of getting a location picked.
I was up there last fall for their geocaching hunt…it was a beautiful day…the colors were at their peak. I hope they’re planning on doing something like that again.
