I know there’s a cache at the groundspeak headquarters, one you have to make an appointment to visit.

I can’t find it! I thought I could track back through drhaas’s recent trip, but have struck out that way. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Wow, a cache that violates GC.com caching guidelines right there at the Headquarters, how deliciously ironic….

And they allow finds on it after being archived. You’d think they would unarchive it. What’s the point of it being archived?

If you follow groundpseak logic and their guidelines, this should be a waymark not a geocache and they should lock the listing from any additional logs. But alas, it’s their game, company, and treasure chest in the lobby.

Pretty cool place to visit though I’m sure.

It’s so they don’t have to police logs from people. By being archived it doesn’t show up on searches. This way you have to be an “insider” and ask for an “invitation” (coordinates).

Of course, requring people to ask you for coordinates is another violation of groundspeak rules.

I wonder if you can find this one by address without a GPS? I heard once that a GPS has to be “integral to the hunt.”

the main reason is to not have visitors every day, they try to set up visits on Fridays if at all possible, remember this is a business that still has work to get done, even though every day is a casual friday there, the day we were there, some of the lackeys were still in PJ’s and slippers, It very laid back there, but still a business. That is the need for it being archived, ask for a invite, and you will not be turned down, its a great place to visit, and if you hit it early enough in the day, you can still make it to the original stash plaque the same day.
