My job has trained me to take almost everything literally. Boy do I hate laws, rules, regulations, legal opinions, and the such!!
Deputy Dawg e-mailed me earlier today and said they have had four people try to log multiple captures on one cache today alone.
You, Lostby7, come up with the magic title and all we need is 16 people to place caches with a slight variation of that name. Hey, maybe we could just get 16 people to change the names of their caches. That might work easier and it would be much faster.
Now where do I find a cache that actually has a geocoin in it. There are a lot that show a geocoin in the inventory, but I usually find no coin in the cache. I wish people would stop stealing these coins.
Does anyone know of an “Apple” cache near Milwaukee? The closest I could find was about 55 miles north.
05/28/2007 at 12:15 am #1874925We have looked over the Outlaws pages, and we want to get in on the action. We ordered the decoding coins, and should have them by next week. Can you help us get signed up for this? Thanks….
05/28/2007 at 2:09 am #1874926Great!!! Now we have someone with the decoder coins. I just printed out the decoder wheels referenced in the Quest description. I have not yet started to decode any, but the “Let the games begin.” code.
This is my first Quest, so this is all new to me. To get started, you just need to go to the Quest page and register. The Quest forums also provide a lot of great info on getting started.
Good Luck!!

05/28/2007 at 2:41 pm #1874929The Cache Chaser Couple is ready to mount up and go after some outlaws. Planning for next weekend, June 2-3, and trying to stay local to the Milwaukee / South East Wisc. area. We’ve looked at a few possible hideouts, and are anxious to round the outlaws up. We should have our decoder coins by then, and we are all signed up for the posse. Anyone want to tag along, as these hombre’s are known to be a tough bunch, give us a holler…

I think I messed up. Signed up for Johnny Waypoint figuring on going for the alternate requirement. But the cache I was planning on using I had already found!!! And I can’t find anything with the name steel, bend, bending, iron or anything metal related. And I was suppose to log it 2 hours ago. Sometimes ya just make a bad decision. Keep on hunting! Good luck to all.05/29/2007 at 6:26 am #1874931i’m getting a late start. was out of touch all weekend. i’ll spend tomorrow at work looking over the vehicles and locations and then try to get out for some caches. i don’t think this is going to be as easy as the orient express contest..
for james/jasper i think we could use GCY4QR Ittlelay Ownknay Arkspay: Amestownjay Arkpay. there is a james in there, even though it is in pig latin05/29/2007 at 9:10 am #1874932@Ratz and company wrote:

And I can’t find anything with the name steel, bend, bending, iron or anything metal related. And I was suppose to log it 2 hours ago. Sometimes ya just make a bad decision. Keep on hunting! Good luck to all.The primary req was just to find a cache and then draw the star with your gps and then snap a pic of your screen…..any cache will do for this req, you just need to be able to draw the star…..
05/29/2007 at 11:45 am #1874933Has anyone done the one with the star? I’ll be curious to learn how much difference those numbers make distance-wise. We need to figure out one where we’ll have some walking room, not always an easy task in the Couee Region, where caches get hidden in rock walls and valleys!
There are some in the area that would work, but we have them already.
🙁05/30/2007 at 3:27 am #1874934The “star” is only about 150 feet across. Just find a cache near a parking lot, football field, or baseball diamond. Heck, you could probably do it in a forest that doesn’t have too much underbrush.
Have you done the Tanks For the Nano caches? The one in Onalaska has more than enough room in the parking lot of the Legion.
The Bluegillin cache out on Brice Prairie is “close” to a park and there is an open field there. There are a few caches in Van Riper Park in Onalaske that have enough open space to create the star.
05/30/2007 at 1:39 pm #1874935i need a cache about quilting or sewing or with angel. can’t find one in my area. anyone have any in yours?
also looking for apple, or orchard or crop?05/30/2007 at 2:00 pm #1874936I decided not to place a special cache but…here are the ones I own that fill req’s here in the Oconomowoc area:
Billy Goatee
Ocon 2 for 1 GCMKVZ Cache mentions trainsJasper James
Another Park & Ride Hide GCQ1TQ Cache GC ID has two Q’s
Frog Pirate GCQBRB Cache GC ID has two B’s
Alien Invasion! GCN8NH Cache GC ID has two N’sGlass eyed Bandit
The Grid GC12NK5 This is a .5 mile walk each way (This is also a puzzle cache)
REWARD FOR CAPTURE ! GC11PT3 This is a .55 mile walk each way (This also has double 1’s in the GC ID)Uncut Bill
These are all Puzzles
Three Lock Box GCT2RA
School Supplies I: Lakeview GCRA16
School Supplies III: Puzzlers Park GCYYGP (This also has double Y’s in the GC ID)
Cacheword Puzzle GCP2QN
School Supplies II: The Black Walk GCW2VQ
Belly of the Beast GCPMHN
Pants on Fire GCWD3F
Darkness… GCY6WXalso in the area is:
Peanut Gang
R Dog Park GCXK08Mudd Varner
Mud Lake Cache GCJBJX
(Be aware this one has long grass and lots of mud and water)05/30/2007 at 3:40 pm #1874937Here’s one with “angel.”
GCZXNT “Sleeps with Angels”This one would work for the crop one.
GC107ZX “Way Back Cornfield in Chimney Rock”As would this one.
GCNDF0 “Apple Blossom Overlook”I know there is also one in the Chippewa Valley somewhere about a needles in haystacks. Along with that one, I found some up there with “muddy” in the cache names.
3 Hawks, We’ve done the tanks. Done the Brice Prairie one. The one I just did this morning, geoscrabble 2, had plenty of room but I’m using that one for Nopar King. I really don’t think when there are folks on a chase who have already found 8, and I just finished number 4, that I have huge chances, but it’s fun to play! I think we’ll plan a run up to get that cornfield one, as there are several out that way we haven’t looked for yet. Plus, we only scratched the surface in BRF on Sunday, and haven’t even headed down Westby/Kickapoo way yet.
05/30/2007 at 11:18 pm #1874938Here’s one not far from here that we haven’t done yet.
GCYXTY “Perrot Sunset Cache.”It has two Ys in the waypoint. That could work for Jasper James. I can’t find any close by that would work for the names.
Yippee! I think that there could be a bit of an advantage to not having done most of the local caches.
