I’m to the point where I should have the option of a “fast forward.” Unfortunately, I am unable to find the hidden map-point.

Does anyone have any insight into this topic?

    Thanks!

I’m not there yet and have to hold off on my next hunt as I will be at the Trek100 for several hours on Sat. That said by the time I chase my next villain it will be too late for you.

I haven’t even figured out at what point a Fast Forward might occur. Need to read their forums a bit, I guess.

Our chases might come to a halt, too. Trekkin’ has been pretty sick since last night. Docs aren’t real sure what it is, but he’s waiting for the lyme test to come back. Sigh.

Of course I figured out the Fast Forward thingy only slightly after I had to put my outlaw in jail.

Make sure you figure out the “key” to the first fast forward BEFORE you start your seventh chase.

My rush to the next chase cost me over an hour of added average chase time. I think the only way to be in the running is to use the Fast Forwards and to use them wisely.

Sorry to hear that Trekkin’ is under the weather. I hope it is only a nasty cold instead of the alternative.

Figure out the 16 codes in the evidence file. I haven’t finished them, but I have enough to know that they talk about the fast-forwards.

Am I surmising that I need to figure out those codes in the case files to determine the Fast Forward? My brain is hurting from all this thinking!
I read some of the little hints on the game forum, but I still am clueless.
Maybe I’d better read a little more on the decoder coins I have. I’m wondering if something on the newspaper page might hold the key?

I’m blaming it on brain fog that most teachers suffer these last few days of school!

Lightning Bugs Mum, we must have been posting at the same time! 3 Hawks, this is definitely not a cold. Trekkin’ rarely gets sick so when he does, he does so in grand fashion. His last comment before nodding off again was “If it turns out to be Lyme, I’m only doing urban caches or winter caching from now on.” He’s been treated for Lyme twice already.
I’m as much a tick magnet as he is, but have been lucky—so far.

i’m logging my first outlaw tonite. anyone have any help on picking the vehicles? i put all the locations into google earth, and they pretty much all look very rugged to me. i know jack about off roading and the cars all seem alike to me. well except for the mini van and the water fording types. i don’t figure to have any chance for completing early enough to be in the running, just not getting out caching much right now, but i would still like to try for a good time.

You have till July to finish so there is no rush…and if you don’t finish by then it’s no problem you just don’t get bragging rights, but you do get to finish …no matter how long it takes.
Google Jeep trails in Utah…that may help…I was too lazy to do that though…..I’m tired.

djwini – I got my maps from topozone.com since Google Earth never works for me. You can see which have dirt roads, 4WD trails, or almost nothing for the approach.

Then I figured out the 16 locations were the real ones from the list and googled them. Some of them are at http://www.4x4now.com/mu4wd.htm . There’s a couple places tho that I am stuck on and I’ll just have to wing it I guess.

You can also use mapquest. There’s a feature that allows you to put in latitude and longitude. Do that, then switch to aerial view and zoom in and out to see what it’s like. I’ve been using that, have caught 5 outlaws and only got a small penalty from one vehicle choice so far.

I got an 8 hour and 3 hour penalty out of 5 picks so far.

Lostby, I got a 3 hour penalty on my last chase. The other 4 were good.
Since I’m home with sick old Trekkin’ today, I decided to put this time to good use. I’m finding myself horribly frustrated by the codes, considering I love crosswords, anagrams and the like. I need to just step away for awhile.

I’m trying to locate caches for some of the other bandits. Terminator Sam is giving me trouble. The closest one I can find that would fit the bill seems to be this one.

    GCNWY7

I really can’t justify that kind of travel for just caching. Anyone know of others on this side of the state?

I still have to nab Johnny Waypoint, too. Hear he’s nasty! 😉 Hopefully when Trekkin’ is better we can hunt him down at a cache that just popped up close to home!

I’m planning on visiting Beloit and Janesville to nab a TRAIN cache and a TOY CAR cache (and 20 of their geocache friends) on Sun.
I’m going to get most of the remaining outlaw req’s found this weekend and then take my chances on the last couple I couldn’t come up with by hoping that the secondary “Location Req” will be something I have done in the past week or so………which is like 30 ish caches so there is a decent chance that one of those will fit somehow.

You’re doing way better than we are. I would be thrilled beyond belief if we could even finish this by July. Don’t know if I’ll ever figure out these codes, though! (I do know the answer to that riddle, however!) I figure for a few of these I also have to hope the secondary requirement will work. We got lucky that way this past weekend. We’d already logged in to chase the train one, and ran out of time to go do that cache. Luckily, one of the others we’d visited that day worked by way of the secondary.

I have 5 logged two more ready to log and will be hunting 2-4 this weekend (depending on hike length and geocoins found). So……I guess that will put me at 9-11 outlaws bagged by this weekend and 5 yet to find or to gamble on having done a fitting cache.
