Anyone know where I can get these close to Ocon?
It helps to read the earlier posts….. 😉
GC1102C (Racine)
GCZ8QC (Waukesha)I’m too tired to do links right now….
Edit: Cool! The forum automatically did the links for me! I did not know it would do that.

I have done Glen Rose, Racine is too far…I may have to begin this chase and hope for the best for the location req.
06/04/2007 at 12:06 pm #1874976I am waiting to arrest JD Bad Apple Slinger. I did a cache called “Way Back Cornfield in Chimney Rock,” which I realize isn’t helpful for those on the other side of the state, but maybe you can find a crop kind of cache over there?
I have officially given up on my chance at my fast forward. I spent at least 5-6 hours looking for the solution to my puzzle. I swear I looked at every cache in that part of Utah at least three times in the process, probably more. Some people are finding theirs in no more than 15-20 minutes! I am letting this stuff get to me, and I can’t!
I think I’m going to go after that Johnny Waypoint next! 😉 I had found one for the matchbox one, but it was up near Tomahawk, which would have been okay, since we had a graduation in Eagle River to attend. However, Trekkin’ felt too sick again yesterday. Hope we get some kind of answer today on that.
Now I think I’m going to have to hope for a location requirement on Sam.
06/04/2007 at 12:23 pm #1874977I will look for my FF today after work I have been holding off on getting there until I had the proper amount of time to dig in and solve the puzzle. I have 4 or five ready to log though and if the rain holds off this afternoon I’m going after two more…..a puzzle cache and a geocoin.
Good luck with Johnny! I hear he’s a shifty character.

This scares me. I have dial-up and loading pictures takes forever. Maybe I should try to coordinate it so I can be at the library or maybe my husband’s office for this. I want to make sure I have this right. You have from the time you start your seventh (or thirteenth) chase until you complete it?

Bummer.
BTW, I caught Johnny Waypoint yesterday. I had to walk in to a thistle patch at one point to get him. Someday he’ll pay for that.
06/04/2007 at 8:43 pm #1874979Lightning Bug’s Mom, that’s right. Once your 7th or 13th chase begins, you have that time to find the hidden spot and solve your puzzle. The fast forward will save you how ever many hours you had left until you could arrest your criminal, and it allows you to start a new chase right away.
So yes, you want to be able to look at photos. I don’t know if I am just clueless or missed my area by a hair, but I’m pretty sure I covered the area–many times! Good luck!
I’m hoping we can get that Johnny Waypoint soon, there’s a new cache with lots of space. Trekkin’ was sent home from work today, so it might be awhile!

So it looks like a bit of strategy would be to save one of my “longer” hunts for this particular chase. For instance, I’ve got Johnny hiding at Robbers Roost so that totals a whopping 21 hours. If I get really lucky and solve the fast forward in, say 2 hours, I would get 19 hours knocked off my time??
BTW, any news yet from the doctors?
Oh yeah! COINS

NIce to see the coins at $10 instead of $20 like last time.06/04/2007 at 9:57 pm #1874982That would be a very good strategy, assuming you can find it quickly. Some people found them very quickly. I think I’m dumb when it comes to that part of it!
No Lyme’s, apparently, but he was sent home from work today. Some really nasty virus, which is unusual. He never gets sick. Our lives have been pretty stressful and challenging already, and as a teacher of kids with emotional/behavioral disabilities at this point in the school year, he figures it’s just caught up with him.
Thanks for asking. Good luck with your chase, I hope you have more success than I did. I saw the coins, they’re pretty snazzy looking. Did you also see three people have already finished? 😯 I’m going to be happy if I’m done before July!

These are the coins that are available to everyone, although they are only making 250 of them. There will also be finishers coins – which look more like mini-trophies to me that would be engraved and are $18 I believe. Look for them in the forums.
