Have you ever checked out the geodashing website? We have not had a chance to try it yet but it sounds kind of interesting. check it out here: http://geodashing.gpsgames.org/

I and others (probably) thank you for abandoning that project.

Give me time, I’m sure I can come up with something equally obnoxious.

Been there, done that. Team Rabid Badgers, consisting of some Wisconsin folks and an Australian, nearly won Game 10 way back in April 2002.

The thing about geodashing is that waypoints are randomly selected… so usually they end up somewhere uninteresting and on private property. It was fun for awhile, but after a couple months I got tired of asking farmers permission to walk in their fields.

Occasionally a waypoint is placed on a very interesting spot, or someone has a real adventure getting to one. I still get the game results email each month that has the “best of” the trip reports filed during the month and it is always an entertaining read…

BTW, if you want to get in on it, you are better off joining an existing team or trying to form a team with people you know from other parts of the country/world. A team of all Wisconsin people probably would have very hard time winning given the way the points assigned.

    I just don’t get it.

I was looking forward to the “solution” for locationless and virtual caches. Hoping that it would be a fun new way to do virtual caches, I was quickly disappointed.

I don’t find it very user friendly. My short attention span is quickly challenged when visiting the site and trying to find
    “something interesting”.
