I’m so impressed with the hard work that goes on behind the scenes of our Wisconsin Geocaching site.. Thank you so much for keeping us up to date about what is being done with this State Park situation.
I’ve always met with a warm welcome at the sites I’ve hid my caches upon.. always instantly solved a problem, when it comes up, with one of my State Park caches. Always take time to talk about my love of ‘caching’. I’ve met a few cachers already and realize that they too have the same passion about this sport… it’s not going to fade away as a fly-by-night hobby/sport.. it’s here to stay because it’s given us something that we’ve hungered for.. for a very long time.. Geocaching hits so many of my interests.. and I’m so glad that I have been given this chance to explore the beauty of Wisconsin. (If you will notice I’ve only hit one cache outside of Wisconsin so far.. not because I can’t travel.. but because I made it a personal choice to KNOW my state better.. all thanks to Geocaching allowing me a way in) I actually ducked into Minn to see a waterfall.. have not had one Wisconsin waterfall close enough to me to explore yet, but will, because I do know that another geocacher will wish to share this location with me.
WGA staff..THANK YOU again for all your hard works, dedication and passions about Geocaching.

You can visit a waterfall in Gov. Dodge State Park at N43 1.608 W90 7.691. CacheCows included it as a waypoint for their multicache hunt during the spring WGA campout. A very pretty spot.

OK, time for a shameless plug, here!
Yawningdog and Inside Edge would like to share a waterfall with you, Lil Otter!
http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.asp?ID=28421Hope you get a chance to head up that way some time. There are some wonderful caches in the area (some of them mine
) GREAT job on the article, Ken! Thank you for producing it on such short notice. We are truly blessed by the talents of our orginization. It continually amazes me how this all came together in the last year and a half. It’s almost as if there was guidance from above.
08/07/2002 at 8:02 am #1749987Oh my goodness.. I was just at Gov Dodge doing your Truth about Henry (blush) duh.. guess I should have read this message board before I went.. oh well.. I still have to finish Yawningdog’s What’s that Smell.. didn’t have luck in the dark finding it.. so there’s always a reason or two to return to such an amazing state park. Unless this cache is a “sub” wader too (grins)… sometimes things just don’t sink in.. like walking on a tilt of 85 degree walking east for 450 feet.. my neck still hurts (grins)
~The Lil Otteroh and I did get to see baby falls today.. oops yesterday (grins cus she’s still up) when I went to PeeWee’s Small Falls.. Very pretty.. can’t wait to see more..

08/08/2002 at 2:36 am #1749988Here is another cache that is near a waterfall. This is one that my brother hid it is called . Legend of Fonferek Falls
You may also want to try the cache. From the logs it sounds like you should leave yourself plenty of time for this enjoyable hunt.

08/15/2002 at 3:37 am #1749989Thanks Ken and all others who are working so hard for us with the DNR to keep our sport viable on Wisconsin State property.
The article for IMPACT magazine was very eloquently written and should go a long way towards introducing geocaching to those in charge of all parks. I believe you and Wi-Geocaching have done us all a great service and hope you will be able to continue with follow-up meetings and articles.
If there is anything we as members can do, please let us know. THANKS!!!08/18/2002 at 3:51 pm #1749990Well done Ken. You and the others close to WGA are doing a great job! Thanks and hope to meet some of you one of these days.
