If you REALLY don’t want to have the souvenir, you will need to log your find on a different day. Note that even if you change the date of your log to a different day after receiving a souvenir, you still keep the souvenir. There is no provision for removing a souvenir once it is issued to you. This has been confirmed by the programming monkeys at gc.com. Note that these souvenirs all work the same, so if you accidentally log a cache in France, you will still have the souvenir after you delete your log.
08/08/2013 at 6:24 pm #1971324so, I guess that if I wanted to log a find on a cache, get the souvenir, and delete the find every day for the month, I could get all the souvenirs. I am sure there are those who are already doing this….

Got the moon and stars today, but then I got to thinking that we should have done a night cache to match the souvenir. Ammo can for the first day, do a cache on a bike trail for tomorrow… Could make things more interesting…
Yup.
Like that outlook sandlanders. π
We did a cache yesterday on a bike trail to get the bike souvenir.Caching is caching. Still fun either way. π
It is not like we would stop caching to avoid a souvenir or bother with a work around to avoid them. There is more to that.
Caching is fun and we get out-of-doors. No need for a hiatus.

If they don’t, that’s also OK. I just logged two finds from a week ago, so I checked. Yup, I got a couple. Hurray…

If you find a cache in another country, you get a souvenir for that country. Do people from other countries get a U.S. souvenir? Why don’t we get one for the U.S.?08/18/2013 at 8:38 pm #1971336That’s true, never thought of it that way.
