If you find a cache in another country, you get a souvenir for that country. Do people from other countries get a U.S. souvenir? Why don’t we get one for the U.S.?We do – in the form of the 50 state souvenirs.
When I grow up I want to be as smart as Todd!

You could print out all 50 and put them together, kind of like the state refridgerator magnets.
08/22/2013 at 8:33 pm #1971341Has anyone else noticed that most are not dating the paper logs in the caches. Never noticed that much till this month.

how else can someone cheat the system. Once you date the log, it limits your option to log it for a different day that you didn’t find one just so you can say “look at me, I got all 31 souvenirs” 👿

08/23/2013 at 1:56 am #1971343They’ll do this on the 1000 power trails that we have in Wisconsin alone 🙄
08/23/2013 at 10:59 am #1971344I rarely date logs – and haven’t for some time now. I will if the cache hasn’t been found in a long time or it’s something special. Otherwise, I don’t bother.

Interesting point, but I believe the “rules” only state that you have to sign the log. I don’t believe the “rules” require it to be dated. In fact I don’t even think the “rules” say that you should claim it as found on the day you found it.
I’m not trying to start an argument / debate on the gc.com rules, but just stating that some things we make assumptions about may simply be assumptions / conventions that have nothing to do with the rules at all.
08/23/2013 at 9:40 pm #1971346I’m lucky if I know what the date is. When I get home and start logging I find I often have put the wrong date down.
08/23/2013 at 10:48 pm #1971347We put a date on all but the nanos, but I suspect half the time, we also have the date wrong. The joys of being retired! 🙄 Or perhaps the joys of just being old, not sure which it is.

If you don’t even know what day it is there isn’t much chance of getting the date right.
08/23/2013 at 11:58 pm #1971349I date everything that has room.
I almost always have to check the calendar on Garmin to get the date for the first find of the morning.08/24/2013 at 2:55 am #1971350Sometimes I take a date and sometimes I just leave him home.
