After the aurora borealis of St. pat’s day, I was talking with a birding friend about seeing them.  She pointed me to a Facebook page for regional aurora hunters.

Wow!  I’m learning how to read the ovation predictions and seeing some amazing photos.  It’s nothing for the diehards to hop in their cars and head to the UP or wilds of Ontario in hopes of catching the next great show.  Fascinating stuff…reminds me of another hobby we all enjoy. 😉

Just google “aurora hunters.”  There ate all kinds of sites.

Guess I was spoiled growing up in NE WI and being able to see them whenever I wanted.
We’re at N42 here, but the elevation and lack of artificial illumination makes this an amazing location for star gazing and aurora hunting too.

The best sig is no sig.
