Lived in WI all my life…never have I seen a Badger…now if this was a watch a woodpecker study I’d not have to go further than the side of my house at 6am.

I have seen badgers twice, but once it was in Minnesota. They are really weird little critters, low to the ground. We thought the one we saw on the way to the cabin was a big rock in the gravel road!

I saw one several times on Star Lake road in Mountain two years ago. He was burrowed in the side of the road and seemed to be sunning himself every time I drove by. I have only seen one several times before and mostly at night while shining deer.

The only Badger I have ever saw was at the Milwaukee County Zoo. I guess I need to spend more time in the “wild”.

I saw 2 badgers playing in the creek last year just after i grabed a cache and was walking the trail for the next one. GC1GQ2M

I used to see a badger once in awhile when bow hunting in Waushara County, about 8 miles west of Wautoma. Never did see where he holed up, but he’d waddle under my stand now and then.

That’s the only one I’ve ever seen in the wild, and that was several years ago.

Twenty five years ago, I was traveling with my family north of Manitowish Waters. We happened to be talking about badgers, and I asked my dad if he had ever seen one. I don’t remember his response, but right after that we saw one sauntering around on the left shoulder of county highway W. In the next mile or two, we saw two more either on W or K. Those were the only ones I’ve ever seen in the wild.

I think it was this past Tuesday evening, a badger walked into the Milwaukee post office, just outside of downtown, along the little Menomonee River.
