This is the best April Fool’s log I have seen, so I had to share it with all of you. This is from a cache of ours in town in La Crosse: “I was signing the log when I felt something warm around my right ankle. I glanced down. Wrapped around my ankle was a huge snake. I froze. I shouldn’t have. It suddenly tightened with incredible force around my leg. It then jerked me to the ground and began pulling my leg and me through the underbrush in the ditch. My thoughts raced. It had to be someone’s escaped pet boa. Why was it doing this? I could’ve used my bear mace – but didn’t have it along for an innocent in-town cache. I tried to fight back by twisting my leg out of it’s evil grasp as it dragged me further from safety. At some point, I started screaming for help. I felt suffocating pain as its wrenching grip tightened and it kept pulling me by pulling my leg. Just like I’m pulling your leg . . . April Fool! Happy Trails!”
