Sounds exactly like our first GPSr set-up…….don’t recommend using it in a city park, or any other place where you’ll be seen….We found out muggles will stare and scratch their heads, and geocachers will laugh at you – no kidding!
Worked great, and hard to beat the price, though! 😎 😎
I remember a time when maybe 2% of geocachers ran a laptop setup in their vehicle. Today, it is A LOT cheaper to do the a NUVI, versus all the mounting hardware you need to do the laptop thing. (Not to mention laptops are fairly fragile.)
