BigJim60 invited a few folks to help him celebrate his 3000th find at his event at the Mead Wildlife Center: “Huntin’ for Some Family Fun”. After the presentation and hunting for the practice caches on the great Mead trails, we got to meet and greet… and EAT! Thanks for the fun and the yummy milestone cake, BigJim, and congrats on your 3000 finds!

10/28/2012 at 12:23 pm #1965454I saw the event and considered going. Circumstances just didn’t go my way this time. Congratulations on the milestone and thanks for providing an educational opportunity as well! 🙂
10/28/2012 at 12:51 pm #1965455Congrats, BigJim! I remember the area quite well from a LCG run with Sagasu. We hope to visit the Center someday.
Looks like a good turnout and a good way to introduce very new people to geocaching! Here’s to the next 3000+! 😀

10/28/2012 at 4:25 pm #1965458I was wondering if you were going to hit 3K by your event, congrats (dad didn’t think you were going to be able to, LOL)
10/28/2012 at 11:06 pm #1965459I was glad to have been at the event that tipped the number to 3K. You done did good ! 🙄
10/29/2012 at 3:28 am #1965460Congrats BigJim!
10/29/2012 at 11:37 am #1965461Thanks everyone. I’ve had a lot of fun over the past three years. I was glad that I could share my milestone with so many cachers. I still have to go over the logs with my partner in the event to figure out how many people were actually there, but I’m estimating 75, with about 55 of those being first-time cachers.
