I know there are enough techies out there that I can get some answer faster here than the Blackberry forums.

I am trying to install the Blackberry Desktop manager to my HP mini110.
I have copied the folder from my PC to a flash drive but am not able to load it to the Mini. Really don’t want to have to buy an external CD drive, at least not right away.

It should work. Do you know what format the Flash Drive is in FAT, FAT32 NTFS??

Not sure what the problem is exactly…. is the flash drive not being seen or are the files missing or something? are you getting these files off a CD or downloading from the net?

Why not just download from the net on your HP mini 110 from blackberrys website?

If you buy a external USB CD drive they are like $80, I made my own buying an enclosure & a new lightscribe DVD burner for around $40. Here’s an example of a similar enclosure, though there are many more to choose from. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817366013

I ended up going to The Shack where I purchased my BB. they had WiFi and were able to download from the web. My problem was mainly, I didn’t have a WiFi connection so I couldn’t download from the web.

still not sure why it wouldn’t work from the flashdrive and maybe an external drive will be in my future. but for now, I am up and running.
    thanks for the suggestions.
