10/19/2009 at 8:18 pm #1909727Have just started a blog a few weeks ago. Only have a couple of entires so far.
01/26/2010 at 9:45 pm #1909728I have just added a chat room to my blog…I am hoping to get some people on there to chat whenever they are online checking out the WGA. I was wondering why the WGA did not have a chat, and figured why not put one on my blog. No registration needed, just hop on and chat.
I am trying to figure out how to hyperlink a picture to link the chat too, but I am not tech enough to figure it out…maybe one of you can help me out.
Check it out, I will be on whenever I am at my computer.
01/26/2010 at 11:00 pm #1909729FYI – The WGA website committee and board are discussing chat functionality for the WGA site.
I think there are many alternatives out there for people but would be a nice offering. It would be handy sometimes.
Unfortunately I won’t likely be participating in any chat during the day due to internet filters regardless of where the function is. I’m lucky to be able to post to forums. 😉
01/26/2010 at 11:01 pm #1909730Oh and I’m also contemplating starting up a blog but not sure how popular I would be 😳 Probably not many would be interesting in my ramblings but it would be better than the small little window offered on facebook postings.
01/27/2010 at 5:18 am #1909731The wife and I started a blog in the hopes of a name change. here is the link.

we just started and I think the secound post will be about the Waukesha Janboree event we went too. Happy readings.02/19/2010 at 1:56 am #1909732I found a really neat blogging site that I thought I would share. Actually, I saw Jeremy Irish (president of Groundspeak) uses this site and researched it further and it makes blogging extremely easy to do.
It’s http://posterous.com
What makes it cool?
– You can post messages by just sending an email
– Attached images are hosted and posted with your message. Same goes for videos, sound files, word docs, PDF’s, etc. Just attach the files to your posted email.
– Posts are automatically re-posted to facebook, twitter, other blog sites, etc.
– Your blog can be password protected allowing you to share secured posting and files with others.
– It’s freeHere’s a great summary page:
http://posterous.com/faqOh and I may occasionally post to my newly created blog page there:
http://cheeto.posterous.com/02/19/2010 at 2:59 am #1909733I added the idea of creating a Bloggers listing to the suggestion page. I myself dont know if I would blog, but certainly some are doing it and have enjoyed looking and reading the ones I have discovered.
I would ask that if you feel it a good idea post a comment in the suggestion box. Just like Facebook can be used to present caching to a new crowd, blogging could do the same
Have to admit the one that caught my eye is Todd300s blog name, you are not alone Todd there is at least one other cacher with the same problem.
02/19/2010 at 3:48 am #1909734I have had this blog for a while now and at times forgot about it. It shows with the large gaps between posts. Lately I have been making some rather frequent posts. It started as a Caching blog but as I pulled away from my constant need to cache and now just use it as an accent to what I am already doing it has become more of an outlet for stuff in my life, with a bit of caching in between.

I thought you’d like that. I figure there would be other deaf or hearing impaired cachers, but do not know who they are.
08/05/2010 at 4:15 am #1909736I merged geo-jots.com, my cache blog into myspew.com, my primary blog. I am not sure what I was thinking dividing up my life and Geocaching, since they go hand in hand.
I added everyone in this thread to http://myspew.com If you just want the outdoors/geocaching category, the url is http://myspew.com/journeys
Take care folks.
