We were given permission by Joe to use stickers on the cache logs, in fact he sugested it!
I bet people were just putting stickers were they thought the log should have been and those might be the logs that “might” be deleted.

I have to say that they are very worth doing. Yes it’s a tedious series, but the company you keep while caching makes all the difference. I’ve done 50 or so on two separate trips with DanBike, Cacherclan and Knoffer. They all made the tedium tolerable. And the views are just as nice (well not quite) as walking through a wooded forrest. I don’t often get into million dollar neighborhoods one right after the other. The architecture on some of the homes alone, make the trip a worthwhile one.

Any trick/shortcut in downloading all these waypoints?

The way the guys named these caches (BoB) throws off the GC.com search engine’s “case insensitive” searches. Apparently its not really case insensitive. I’ve seen this problem before with other “odd” capitalization names.
The hot ticket is to create a bookmark PQ from this list.

Very cool…thanks! 😉
I need to learn how you or whomever built that BM PQ. That’s the one thing I’ve never played with. I tried to use the regular PQ, but could not see how to filter this to only find BoB 99.
Edited: for “case insensitive” typo.
01/09/2007 at 12:17 am #1767983I suspect that Team Lich did a query for caches hidden by Genius Loci and Hutt and then manually added each cache to a bookmark list. You could also do a regular radius search and manually pick the BoB caches, but that would be a little more aggravating.
If you are asking how to generate a PQ from a bookmark list, just scroll to the bottom and click the “Create Pocket Query” button.
03/10/2007 at 5:09 pm #1767984Any date set for this possible run?
03/10/2007 at 7:18 pm #1767985These are still down for maintenance…when they are back up I plan on setting up a go for date.
03/17/2007 at 11:15 pm #1767986Lizbike and I did about 1/2 and then I recruited several others to complete the series. When you have multiple GPSs in your car, it makes it easy to set up the next while you’re logging one.
