I’ve left a few adult bestseller fiction books (in baggies) in caches. Is this a good idea? Or are they too big and just taking up space? I was trying to think of something “adult” to leave occasionally. and that’s all I really came up with. Any other ideas if you don’t like those?

I think in a large enough ammo box, that should work just fine, in fact I have actually seen some caches devoted solely for books as well as CD’s.

I would have to say go for it. As long as their not errotic stories. Not that I would mind those but their are kids out there that could find these. I really like the book idea though, so I will have to keep that in mind.

Nah- more like John Grisham, Mary Higgens Clark… older bestsellers that I have picked up at garage sales for cheap.

I had three caches with a star trek theme which make no sense at all now, such as my “Beam me up Scotty”. Each had a Star Trek pocket book in them. I think books are a great idea.

Personally I think this is a great way to clean off my paperback book shelf. Thanks for the reminder!

Kids books are good too, my daughter has grabbed a few of them!

We always enjoy finding books in caches. The Mrs is always reading and she learned about Bookcrossing from a book left by Pharm Team a few years back. She liked the idea and we created out Rest and Read cache for books and other things. We are pleased that people have left books and kept somewhat to the theme. It is also a great place to leave some of our books. We have also found and placed childrens books that our daughter always enjoys.
