Boy Scouts Need Your Help! As a leader for our Boy Scout District I was assigned the task of purchasing some GPS units. I was able to purchase 6 new Garmin “Venture” GPS units. The problem that I encountered is that the GPS units do not have any memory and I am out of funds. I know that a lot of people have been upgrading to larger micro SD cards. What I am hoping is that if you still have the smaller 64 MB SD cards that came with your unit and you don’t have a use for it, we would greatly appreciate your generosity if you would donate them to our local Boy Scouts. I’m going to be helping Mathman with some training sessions on these units and it would be nice to have some cards in them to demonstrate mapping. I came up with the idea of asking here because I updated the micro sd card in my 60CSx and have the original 64MB card just sitting in the desk. It can’t be worth much (if anything) with the prices coming down on the cards but it will be worth a lot to the scouts learning to use the GPSr’s. I’ll add my 64MB micro SD card. That makes two? Anybody else able to help out?

Yes. I even think that our 64MB card still has City Navigator loaded onto it. Either PM or email us at VegasGamblers @ wi.rr.com with the address. We will get it out once we dig out from THE BLIZZARD OF 2007 😆

Great Start! I have received commitments for 4 micro SD cards so far and have 3 in my possession. Thank you to all who have responded so far. I am still in need of 2 more cards, so if you have an unused micro SD card that you can spare or know of someone else who isn’t using theirs please contact me. A BIG THANK YOU to everyone.
